  • Everyones favorite answer… It depends!

Every pet is different and some see results faster than others. Variables such as your the pet’s health, age, and your goals affect the number of sessions needed.

I typically recommend more frequent sessions in the beginning and then we can space them out more as progress is made.

That being said, for massage, weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly are general markers.

For Exercise Therapy, to see results the pet parent needs to consistently follow an at home exercise program. Just like when we go to the gym. You cannot build enough muscle or strength after one workout.

During our first session, we will discuss a treatment plan that works best for both you and your pet.

  • Yes! I also work on cats and most small animals. I have worked on bearded dragons, a cockatoo and am open to helping other small animals.

  • The anatomy and physiology of animals is very similar to our own. Which is why massage is just as beneficial for animals as it is for humans. But, there are a few significant differences between us.

    1. With approval from you vet, massage can be a great alternative to costly pain medications. Most pets welcome a massage and don’t have unpleasant side effects that come with medications.

    2. They cannot tell us what hurts and what is tight. This is when massage is extremely helpful. Because with “thinking” fingers, I can feel what is tight and read their body language as I am touching to see what is painful.

    3. Animals don’t really have an “off switch”. Meaning, they don’t know when to stop and can push themselves too far causing injury. My dog for example: was chasing a squirrel, slammed his nail into a rock and broke it. But he did not stop and continued chasing till he caught it. Then after he realized he was in pain.

If you yourself have not had a massage, I recommend you also give it a try, they are fantastic!

  • We accept cash, credit/debit cards, checks and Zelle.

  • You have two options!

If you live within 10 miles of downtown Reno, I can come to you and work out of the comfort of your own home. This is a great option for pets who don’t travel well and for people with a busy schedule.

The second option is my home office in north west Reno (near Rancho San Rafael Park). I have a side entrance just for clients. I do have 2 dogs and a cat, but I will have them in another room when I am working on your pet. After you schedule, I will give you directions to the house.
