My Journey

I have always had a passion for animals and exercise. Initially, I started my education and career in the exercise/rehabilitation field. I received my BS in Kinesiology, with an emphasis in Athletic Training at Northern Illinois University. I started my professional career in Sports Medicine and Athletic Training with people.

Later in my career, I discovered there was a way I could incorporate my love for animals and exercise/rehab in one job. In 2015, I decided to expand my education by completing extensive training at Healing Oasis Wellness Center, and becoming certified in Veterinary Massage and Rehab Therapy (CVMRT). Soon after, I began working as an Animal Rehab Therapist at Integrative Pet Care. In 2016, I continued to follow the path of educating myself further and completed the Advanced Canine Massage Therapy program at Chicago School of Canine Massage (now Canis Bodyworks).  After graduating, I sat for the National Board of Certification for Animal Acupressure and Massage and became a Nationally Certified Practitioner (NCCMT) in 2017. I am also a Fear Free Certified Professional and certified in Pet CPR & First Aid.

My knowledge and passion for animals, exercise, and rehab led me to open Physio Pet Massage in 2017. Along with Physio Pet Massage, I was also an instructor for Canis Bodyworks from 2017-2019. In my spare time, I enjoy providing comfort to rescue/shelter animals with massage and exercise. I followed my passions and have made a successful living from it. I never thought I could integrate all of my interests into a career!
